Hello, my name is Roisin Hogan. Jake (above) and I are the Heavenly Hounds' partnership. I’m the groomer and Jake provides the meeting, greeting, entertainment and companionship for our clientele. Consequently the salon is a happy place for our customers.
Having spent my life with a large, extended, four legged family; canine, feline and equine with a few other small mammals and rodents thrown in for good measure, I finally found a career amongst them for myself – and I love it!
I trained with Ann Collins of The Grooming Pad from January to October 2006 while she was still working from home. Together we opened The Grooming Pad as a partnership at 12 Brookfield Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin in November 2006. The partnership was subsequently dissolved and Heavenly Hounds was born in March 2007. Heavenly Hounds and The Grooming Pad share the same address but are separate businesses.
I am an active member of the Irish Professional Dog Groomer’s Association and attend all the Seminars for Continuing Education to keep up to date on the latest industry standards and know-how. I had further training in hand stripping techniques with Heidi Anderton of Absolutely Animals in London, British Groomer of the Year 2004, Member of the Guild of Master Groomers and the owner of an Approved Premiere Training Facility. Early in 2008 I had some fine-tuning in the form of more advanced training over several weeks with Nicola Lacey, Irish Groomer of the Year 2006
I was awarded the City & Guilds/NPTC Level 3 Advanced Grooming Certificate in August 2008. I am now working towards the British Dog Groomer’s Association Higher Diploma in Dog Grooming. One is never finished learning!
I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! Please stop by the salon or give me a ring and I will be happy to provide you with any further information you may require.
